Women in Mission
About Us
The Women in Mission meet on the third Monday of the month at the church.
They work on projects during the evening and have a short program followed by a session of prayer for missionaries and other prayer requests.
This year's study is "Secure in God's House", a study of shelter in the Bible.
The women also have a "Comforter Day" which meets on the last Wednesday of each month at the church. They tack comforters for the MCC relief. The women work on a quilt for the Brotherhood Sale in November. They also serve lunch at the sale as well as donate numerous individual handiwork and food. The Women in Mission special programs include Mother-Daughter Program or recognition; Family Night in August; Christmas Program the first Monday in December. They sponsor the Children's Choir program at Kidwell Boarding Home in May, play bingo with Good Shepard Nursing Home residents every month, and have a secret sister program throughout the year. Some monetary projects vary from year to year. They often include special MCC relief kits, toys for Christmas for local needs; Christmas gifts and food for a needy family; donations to Angel Tree to help children of prisoners. The women also assist with dinners at the church every fifth Sunday or whenever there are special occasions and funeral dinners. 2008 Officers
